The objective of this working group is to analyze the interactions between the economic system, the ecological-environmental system, and the social system to promote the rational and sustainable use of natural resources in the long term. In addition to the analysis of public policy, recommendations are made for the use of economic instruments that support the sustainability of ecosystems. For this purpose, CINPE emphasizes interactive and multi-criteria research where the various social actors are part of the research process.
