What is the Research Program?
Our research program is focused on themes oriented to the elaboration of sectoral policies, where we generate a better understanding of the development realities, focusing on the Central American and Caribbean Region, from the implementation of approaches that address and enhance the specificities of these regions.
By creating alternatives for development, we have analyzed the economic policy from a social perspective, integrating the functioning of markets with their imperfections and limitations, considering the institutions according to which our societies operate.
Our work has transcended borders, and our researchers interact with universities and research networks around the world, where they acquire new knowledge and teach classes, conferences, and trainings.
