The International Center of Economic Policy for Sustainable Development, always compromised with its master’s degrees quality, began in 2017 with the creation of an academic activity called “Self-evaluation with accreditation purposes on the master’s degrees of The International Center for Economic Policy and Sustainable Development (CINPE)”, with the purpose accrediting constantly each one of our master’s degree.
After several meetings and analyses with the academic personnel and university instances of accreditation, it was decided to realize an accreditation process of the Master’s Degree in Economic Policy with the Central American Agency for Postgraduate Accreditation (ACAP). Both the Master’s Degree in Management of International Trade and the Master’s Degree in Management and Public Finance were also accredited by the National Higher Education Accreditation System (SINAES)
Given its regional character, the master’s degree in economic policy was evaluated for the first time in the year 2019 with the assistance of ACAP. In this way, it obtained an accreditation period of five 5 years, from September 26, 2019, to September 25, 2024.
Recently, a self-evaluation report was sent to ACAP to reaccredit the postgraduate degree.
This master's degree was subject to an evaluation in the year 2020 with SINAES presence. The first accreditation was obtained for four years from February 21, 2020, to February 21, 2024. In 2024, the reaccreditation process was made, obtaining a four-year certification period which expires on July 5, 2028.
The Master’s Degree in Management and Public Finances was the last one submitted to the accreditation process. On July 12, 2022, SINAES obtained the first accreditation for a four-year period, which expires on July 12, 2026.
This self-evaluation process has allowed us to strengthen and improve the syllabus, infrastructure, academic personnel capacities, academic management processes, etc.
During the last five years, CINPE has stood out for its continuous improvements in postgraduate studies. Plans and compromises for improvement have been created and attended to for each master's degree. This has allowed us to maintain our strengths as a Center and deal with any detected weaknesses in the self-evaluation and external evaluation processes.
