Professor and Economist at the Universidad Nacional, has a Master’s Degree in Economic Policy with Emphasis in Labour Economics, and is a Doctor in Innovation Economics at Aalborg University, Denmark
During the last years, he has been working on research about the innovation dynamics in the productive sectors of Costa Rica, as well as the change necessities in the workforce’s capacities and skills from the process automation.
Currently, he participates in the following projects:
- Sector analyses from innovation approaches and global commodity chains
- Innovation Dynamics in Costa Rica: studies in the productive sectors and geographical areas
- Catching up along the global value chain: Determinants and policy implications in the era of the fourth industrial revolution.
