Economist graduated from the Universidad de Costa Rica, has a Master’s degree in Economic Policy from the International Center of Economic Policy for Sustainable Development (CINPE) from the Universidad Nacional, and has a specialty in economic regulation applied to the energy sector.
He has extensive international experience in trade and energy, business development, and international cooperation.
He served as advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Trade (COMEX), Director of the Costa Rican Trade Offices for CARICOM, China and Central America, as well as Advisor to the General Regulator of Public Services of Costa Rica in energy matters.
He is currently an undergraduate and graduate university professor at CINPE and the School of International Relations of the UNA, as well as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Central American Institute of Public Administration (ICAP), where he coordinates several postgraduate courses.
