He specializes in macroeconomics, public finance, and quantitative methods. He also teaches econometrics and macroeconomics courses at the UNA School of Economics, while at CINPE, he teaches public finance courses.

At the same time, he is an investment strategist and economist in the financial market with more than 8 years of experience and a consultant to the IDB on fiscal issues. He currently works at Mercado de Valores Costa Rica as an investment strategist.
