He has a Master's Degree in Economics with an emphasis in Banking and Risk Management (UCR), with training in finance, management, and doctoral studies in Public Management and Business Sciences (ICAP).

Teaching experience of more than 5 years at CINPE-UNA, where he collaborates in the master's degree in management and public finance.

He has 8 years of experience in banking and 11 years of experience in financial supervision at the Costa Rican Financial Regulator.

Additionally, he is professionally updated at FSI-BIS. (Financial Stability Institute by the Bank for International Settlements and the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision).
