He teaches courses on trade negotiations, international trade theories, trade and environment, International Economics Tools, among others. He received his bachelor's degree from the Universidad Nacional. He served as Director of International Affairs and Cooperation, Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica, from June 2013 to January 2022. He was also in charge of the graduate programs at CINPE between 2011 and 2013 and the Master's in Development Economics at the School of Economics, Universidad Nacional, between 2006 and 2007.
