We invite you to participate in the II Edition of the “Eduardo Lizano Fait” Economic Research Competition, an initiative aimed at recognizing and promoting rigorous research on the main economic and social challenges facing Costa Rica. This activity, in which CINPE participates as a co-organizer, is directed at professionals and research teams with recent and relevant studies.

The competition seeks to encourage the generation of empirical evidence and public policy proposals that contribute to the analysis and strengthening of the national economic debate. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work to a specialized audience, as well as compete for recognitions that highlight the quality and impact of their research.

The call for applications opens on March 24, 2026, and the submission period will run until May 29, 2026. Additionally, an information document is available for interested participants, including requirements, guidelines, and the application process. You can download the information document here.
